Moving Beyond the Past
PATH creates safety for all youth under their care through individualized safety plans
that are reviewed on a monthly and quarterly basis. These safety plans identify
potential crises, triggers, early indicators, and intervention strategies that work best
for that particular child.
PATH has a 24/7 on-call system so no foster family is left unsupported.
This fiscal year, PATH began gathering data as it relates to crisis response and
stabilization of foster care placements. Families and workers alike are now participating
in Suicide Prevention training to become familiar with warning signs, risk factors, and
response to youth who may be suicidal.
