PERMAN A Place to A safe, consistent and caring home environment provides stability and allows youth to recover from trauma and thrive in life. Youth involved in child welfare and juvenile justice systems often experience multiple moves or placement changes. Research tells us that the more times a youth moves the higher the risks are for adverse symptoms. Kindred Family Focus provides support and resources to help strengthen families and prevent the out-of-home placement of children whenever possible. When children must be removed from their families to ensure their safety, efforts focus on returning them home as soon as safely possible or placing them with other “permanent” family (relatives, adoptive families or long-term foster families, for example) or when it is not safe for the child to be reunited with their biological family. 11 SAFETY PERMANENCY WELL-BEING
