NOV/DEC 2018 | 4 After January 1, you will learn more about our new employee assistance program, Empathia. We talked to several providers and decided on Empathia for their ease of access and focus on the whole person approach to well-being. It touches on all four focus areas in one package with access via their website, phone, or even text messaging. Look for more information after the first of the year. Also coming after the first of year is the ShareCare platform through Blue Cross Blue Shield. This wellness program will be offered to all employees, regardless of their Blue Cross Blue Shield membership, meaning if you are a benefit eligible employee of Nexus, you will be eligible for ShareCare. Employees will have access to several wellness options including cost comparisons, discounts, quitting tobacco support, and so much more. Last, but not least, is professional well-being. At the Nexus Annual Conference, we shared the Human Resources (HR) Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles. HR continues to enhance and implement these by understanding our role in creating a contagious, positive impact on culture. We will further enhance culture at Nexus by continuing the relationship with FranklinCovey. We are growing our future leaders by mandating high-quality training that inspires trust and transparency by developing relationships and encouraging personal responsibility. We will also focus on building relationships across departments and sites by rolling out the FranklinCovey- sponsored customer service training after January 1. Utilizing Grovo alongside more focused supervisory training for new or developing leaders gives our leaders the resources they need to be successful. In 2019, we will also be leveling key positions as budgets allow, giving staff in hard-to-fill positions opportunities to grow and develop in their employment. We have our work cut out for us in HR next year, but if there is one thing we know, it is that our staff — all of you — are worth it! Expect more information toward the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019, as we continue to roll out all the benefits mentioned above. We want you feeling engaged and healthy in 2019!
